A visit to Aunt Nancy

When my dad travels to China in the fall and the spring, my mom usually comes to visit us.   This year was no exception.  We arrived home from our whirl wind driving tour on a Sunday evening and my mom arrived in Belgium on Wednesday morning!  We spent 2 quick days together and then the 5 of us flew to Copenhagen, Denmark to visit my Aunt Nancy (my mom’s youngest sister).  It’s an easy 1.5 hour flight from Brussels and one that we plan to take again in the warmer months.  :)
Copenhagen was beautiful! It was easy to walk around and sight see, shop, and enjoy each other’s company.  We weren’t able to go to the famous Tivoli park (another reason to return), but we were able to take a canal tour where we learned a lot about the architecture.  Paul and I sat outside during the tour for better pictures, but it was hard to hear everything.  A highlight for the kids was visiting the Lego store, and highlights for me was getting to spend time with my aunt and seeing my cousin Melissa and her dad, Niels.
We returned late Monday evening (no school due to Armistice Day) and we had two quick days with Nana before she returned to Kansas.  We’re all looking forward to our next reunion!
